“I don’t want many things,
just a chance to spread my wings.
Don’t know what the future brings,
but I want to be there.”

Lyrics from “Phenomenon” by Threshold

This lyric resonates with me in my role as teacher. I think our primary goal should be to prepare our students for their future. A future that we don’t know much about. We need to give them the learning tools necessary to thrive in the future. Information literacy and 21st century skills are essential for our students and teachers.

The rules are simple.

2. Post a picture from a source like FlickrCC or Flickr Creative Commons or make/take your own that captures what YOU are most passionate about for kids to learn about…and give your picture a short title.
3. Title your blog post “Meme: Passion Quilt” and link back to this blog entry.
4. Include links to 5 folks in your professional learning network or whom you follow on Twitter/Pownce.
